Artykuł stanowi teoretyczną refleksję nad problematyką wiedzy i treści szkolnych w kontekście wyzwań i potrzeb współczesnej edukacji. Celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na konieczność ponownego przeanalizowania pedagogicznych teorii doboru treści oraz kryteriów wymagań wobec nich. Jak dowodzą poczynione analizy, zarówno same koncepcje, jak i refleksje ich autorów, są dziś wciąż aktualne. Może to okazać się bardzo przydatne w prowadzonych debatach nad kierunkiem zmian w edukacji. Z całą pewnością idee te warto przypomnieć, bowiem wiele z nich może stanowić doskonałą płaszczyznę w poszukiwaniu rozwiązań w zakresie modernizacji treści szkolnych.
On the Search For Quality in Education – Based on Selected Criteria and Pedagogical Theories of Selecting the Content of Education
Abstract
This article provides a theoretical reflection on the issues of knowledge and school content in the context of the challenges and needs of contemporary education. Its aim is to draw attention to the need to reexamine pedagogical theories regarding the selection of content and the criteria for setting requirements for school knowledge. As the analyses demonstrate, both the concepts themselves and the reflections of their authors remain relevant today. This may prove extremely useful in ongoing debates on the direction of change in education. It is certainly worth revisiting these ideas, as many of them could provide an excellent basis for seeking solutions for modernizing curricula.
