The Educational Research Institute and the Ministry of National Education are pleased to invite you to participate in a conference entitled “From the profile to changes in the education system”. The conference is sponsored by the project “Shaping competencies – from the profile to practice – developing a ‘graduate profile’ taking into account the assumptions/concepts of necessary changes in general education”, implemented by the Educational Research Institute and part of a broader and long-term plan of changes in Polish education.

Singapore is an example of a country that is successfully adapting its education system to meet the demands of the 21st century. In order to help pupils thrive in a rapidly changing world, a set of core values and competencies are essential, which in Singapore form the basis for a holistic education and preparing students for the future. How can Singapore's experiences and solutions be used to design changes in the Polish education system? – this and other questions will be answered by Inetta Nowosad, an expert in education.

Monika Horna-Cieślak, Ombudsperson for Children’s Rights, appointed members of the Panel for Ethics in Social Research with Children in Poland. This is the first initiative in the country on such a scale to ensure special protection for young people. Dr. Maciej Jakubowski, Director of the Educational Research Institute, received an appointment to the Panel.
