The results of the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIACC) survey, coordinated by OECD, were published on December 10. The survey was conducted in 2022–23 and covered 31 countries, including Poland. The survey measured three basic competences among adults (16-65 years): literacy, numeracy and problem-solving.
Poland is among the countries with the highest results for mathematics and science. The average scores of Polish 4th graders were higher compared to the results of 2019. Despite relatively good skill scores, positive attitudes towards mathematics and science as well as a sense of affiliation to the school community have been steadily declining.

IBE experts present the results of an analysis of data from the ICCS, PISA and PIRLS international educational surveys, as well as a literature review on critical thinking and the ability to recognize misinformation.
Please join us for the announcement of the results of the TIMSS 2023 study on December 4, 2024. The main organiser of the survey – the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) – will publish an international report on the survey, and at the same time, research teams from individual countries will publish national reports.
