The event was an opportunity to define the role of school superintendents and school inspectors in promoting inclusive practices in education using materials developed in the project implemented by IBE PIB.

The Educational Research Institute (IBE PIB) is starting work on developing the profile of post-primary school graduates. This will be a document defining the key competencies and skills that a person should have after completing education at this level.

The PISA 2025 main survey in schools will begin on March 3. Teams of PISA interviewers will conduct the survey in randomly selected post-primary schools and several primary schools across Poland.

The Council for monitoring the implementation of education reform has adopted a position on the new format of the core curriculum. After analysing the comments and discussions at the meeting on February 19, the experts gave a positive opinion on the way in which the core curriculum, proposed by IBE PIB, should be constructed to facilitate changes in education.  “This is a great day for Polish education, when we show that we can think about education together. This is a good prognosis for the changes to come,” assessed the Vice-Chairperson of the Council, Deputy Director of IBE PIB Dr. Tomasz Gajderowicz.

Student scoring has damaged the image of the most effective teaching methods by being associated with oppressiveness. A way out of this situation is to redefine grading, argued Dr. Tomasz Gajderowicz, deputy director of the Educational Research Institute – National Research Institute, during a methodics and scientific seminar for staff of the education system from the Warmia-Mazury Voivodeship in Olsztyn.

Educators, psychologists and homeroom teachers working in primary schools (grades IV–VIII) are cordially invited to participate in a pilot programme of workshops entitled “I’M WELL”. “I’M WELL”, which is part of the “Accessible School for All” project implemented by the Educational Research Institute – National Research Institute, in partnership with UNICEF and the Ministry of National Education.

A conference on the qualifications and skills of Poles combining different perspectives: education, work and digitalisation will be held on March 19. People and institutions involved in education, the labour market, educational and career counselling and the latest technologies have been invited to join the discussion.
