Thank you! Together we are changing education for the better! Nearly 28,000 people are helping to change Polish schools!

We would like to thank teachers for filling out nearly 24,000 questionnaires and nearly 4,000 participants in meetings, consultations and regional debates on planned changes to the core curriculum for preschool and primary school. The total number of people who spoke about the proposals for changes in education has reached almost 28,000!

Questionnaires for educators

From January 27 to February 20, 2025, we collected completed questionnaires that IBE PIB prepared for teachers of preschools and primary schools. The opinions and information collected will help us develop more practical and helpful educational solutions. This is the next stage of work on changes to the core curriculum to better suit the needs of teachers and pupils.

After more than 3 weeks, nearly 24,000 people have completed the surveys and thus shared their experiences. The surveys were intended for:

  • preschool teachers
  • teachers of grades 1–3
  • teachers of grades 4–8

The collected responses will help the authors of the new core curriculum. Thank you all for your participation and support in improving education!

Regional meetings

Meetings, debates and consultations for teachers (live and online) were organised in the regions across the country.

The main objectives of the meetings were:

  • to provide the opportunity for teachers to participate in the process changing the core curriculum
  • to provide the opportunity for teachers to share their thoughts
  • to draw from the experiences of educators

What did we most often ask teachers?

  • What are the changes needed to the preschool and primary school core curricula?
  • What needs to be supplemented in the current core curricula to support the development of basic competencies?
  • How can my subject area and the provisions of my subject’s curriculum requirements support the development of cognitive, social and personal competencies?
  • What would have to change in the core curricula to give pupils more opportunities for agency?

These are just a sample of the questions that gave rise to intense discussions among teachers. A summary of these opinions was forwarded by the meeting coordinators in each region to IBE PIB.

Why are we doing this?

We want the new core curriculum to:

  • better meet the needs of teachers
  • be practical and helpful in working with children
  • support the development of important skills in students

The planned changes to the core curriculum are one of the most important educational projects in recent years. Thank you for your support – together we are improving education!
