The Educational Research Institute (IBE PIB) is starting work on developing the profile of post-primary school graduates. This will be a document defining the key competencies and skills that a person should have after completing education at this level.
The work will be done in several stages. To begin, IBE PIB will prepare a first version of the profile, which will be discussed during consultations with four groups. These groups will include representatives of post-primary schools, young people, representatives of higher education and employers. We will meet with representatives of these groups from all voivodeships.
Based on the comments of the participants, a second version of the document will be prepared, to be presented during open consultations. Everyone interested will be able to express their opinions and provide suggestions. The next stages will proceed in a similar way: collecting opinions, developing a successive version of the profile, and consulting again.
The work should be completed in mid-2025. At that time, an abbreviated report will be presented, summarizing all the work and presenting the final graduate profile. The full version of the report will be published after summer vacation.
Work schedule:
- March 10, 2025 – informational webinar, at which IBE PIB will present the assumptions of the project
- March–June 2025 – consultations in working groups, meetings and work on successive versions of the profile
- June 30, 2025 – summary webinar, presentation of the abbreviated report
- After the 2025 summer vacation – publication of the full report
