Join us for the next online meeting of the ‘Summer Holiday Conversations on Education’ series. This time the discussion will focus on teaching mathematics in school.
The second webinar entitled. ‘What foreign solutions are worth looking at when thinking about changes in education: Mathematical competence and how to teach it’ will take place on August 2, 2024 from 10:00–12:00.
The topic of teaching mathematics in school will be discussed from three perspectives:
- Curriculum frameworks: An analysis of the mathematics core curriculum in selected countries
- Content and competences: Computational thinking during mathematics lessons and beyond
- Preparing teachers for effective mathematics teaching
Each topic will be presented by an expert. After each presentation, the floor will be given to participants, who will have the opportunity to share their ideas, suggestions and comments.
The meeting is held in an online format on the ZOOM platform and information with a link to the event will be sent the day before the event to the email indicated on the registration form.
We especially invite:
- teachers
- representatives of schools and the education system
- all persons interested in the webinar topic and the project
The webinar will be recorded and made available on the YouTube channel of the Educational Research Institute.
