More than 200 specialists will work on changes in preschool and primary school

More than 200 specialists will soon start working on the core curriculum for pre-school and general education in primary school. A total of 500 people had previously expressed their interest in participating.

The aim of the work on the core curriculum is to adapt educational content to the challenges of the modern world. It must meet the needs of teachers, be practical and useful in working with children and youth, and support the development of students’ skills. Updating the core curriculum is part of a series of IBE PIB activities on changes in education.

As part of the activities relating to the core curriculum, online training for all members of the expert groups will start this week.

After reviewing the results of the consultations, experts will be asked to comment on the final version of the core curriculum in August.

Changes, improvements, trends

Work on the core curriculum will include:

  • Proposing changes and improvements – updating the objectives and preparing teaching objectives for subjects that will meet the needs of today's students and teachers.
  • Designing the core curriculum – preparing the first version of the document, taking into account the conclusions of the consultations and the latest trends in education.

Our goal is to enable teachers to have a real impact on the future of education in Poland. Their experience and knowledge can play a key role in shaping Polish education.
