The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, in a decision dated September 5, 2022, conferred the title of Professor of the Humanities in Philosophy on Assoc. Prof. Robert T. Ptaszek.
Robert T. Ptaszek, Director of the of Educational Research Institute, is also on the staff of the Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He prepared his doctoral thesis under the guidance of Professor Zofia Zdybicka and received his habilitation degree in 2009 based on his scientific achievements and dissertation “The New Age of Religion? The New Age movement and its doctrine – the philosophical aspect”.
He completed Postgraduate Studies in Administration at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. As part of the Erasmus+ programme, he lectured at the philosophy departments of the University of Malta (2016) and Universidad de Valladolid (2018).
Prof. Dr. Robert T. Ptaszek is the author and co-editor of 10 books, as well as more than 150 scientific articles, chapters in monographs and encyclopaedia entries. He has organised and participated in numerous international and national scientific conferences, where he has presented about 80 papers. His main research interests are: the philosophy of religion, the philosophy of culture and philosophical anthropology.
Dr. Przemysław Czarnek, Minister of Education and Science, appointed Robert T. Ptaszek as the director of the Educational Research Institute in July 2021.
