The Updated Sectoral Qualifications Framework for Information Technology (SQF IT) is the result of several months of collaboration between experts from the IT sector and qualifications system experts from the Educational Research Institute – National Research Institute (IBE PIB). The update was required due to the need to adapt the original framework to the dynamic developments in IT and multifaceted market changes in recent years. The updated SQF IT introduces a completely revised structure, new sectoral determinants, and relevant competence series. A notable new feature of the updated framework is also the introduction of “green” competences within the industry. The publication is a comprehensive compilation of information necessary for the practical application of the framework within companies. It contains a definition of the sector, instructions on how to read the framework, and descriptions of how various target groups can benefit from using the SQF IT.
