The Educational Research Institute and the Ministry of National Education are pleased to invite you to participate in a conference entitled “From the profile to changes in the education system”. The conference is sponsored by the project “Shaping competencies – from the profile to practice – developing a ‘graduate profile’ taking into account the assumptions/concepts of necessary changes in general education”, implemented by the Educational Research Institute and part of a broader and long-term plan of changes in Polish education.
The conference is a hybrid event, taking place on August 29, 2024 from 10:00 to 14:00, in person in Warsaw, or online on IBE’s YouTube channel (Instytut Badań Edukacyjnych). Participation in the conference is free of charge.
The conference will present the first results of developing the graduate profile by the expert team, and include, among others:
- results of analyses of education systems in selected OECD countries
- a summary of analytical work on the competencies of today's students
- a summary of changes in the approach to core curricula over the years
- a discussion of the main tasks facing today’s school
This will be an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and expand your knowledge, make valuable contacts and talk to our experts.

You will be able to ask questions during the conference with the use of a Form.
Conference format
You can attend the conference in person or online. Persons who would like to participate in the conference are asked to complete a Registration form, where you can indicate whether you will be attending in person or online.
Participants
You may register until 16:00 on August 27, 2024. The number of places for attending in person is limited. A recording of the entire conference will be available several days later on IBE’s YouTube channel.
Organisational details (exact address of the venue and directions) will be sent to you together with confirmation of your participation in person. A link to the online event will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the registration form the day before the conference.
