The updated Sectoral Qualifications Framework for the Energy Industry (SQF EN) contains a number of new and modified competence descriptions. These are the result of the need to adapt to the numerous multifaceted changes that have taken place in the sector since the first qualifications framework for the industry was prepared. Another important objective of the update is to reflect the growing importance of green competences. As part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the people working on the SQF EN update developed a broad range of green competences. This is in line with the challenges of addressing climate change and the green economic transition, which affect not only the energy industry, but also Poland’s education system and labour market. The SQF EN update responds to current industry competence needs, as well as adapting its structure and form to current methodological standards for developing competence frameworks.
