The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education on April 17, 2024 and attended by Education Minister Barbara Nowacka.
Minister Nowacka presented new members of IBE’s Scientific Council with their official appointment decision. They are:

- Dr. Katarzyna Kubacka
- Prof. Jarosław Górniak
- Assoc. Prof. Agnieszka Chłoń-Domińczak
- Assoc. Prof. Gabriela Grotkowska
- Prof. Maciej Karwowski
- Assoc. Prof. Roman Dolata
- Assoc. Prof. Ewa Gałecka-Burdziak
- Prof. Ewa Czerniawska
- Assoc. Prof. Jacek Pyżalski
After the appointment ceremony, IBE Director Maciej Jakubowski, PhD, presented a summary of current activities and IBE's vision and plans for development. Director Jakubowski indicated further growth in international cooperation and the scientific activities of the Institute as the main directions of development.
After the speech by IBE’s director and the ensuing discussion, by-elections to the Presidium of IBE’s Scientific Council were held. Prof. Maciej Karwowski became the new Chairperson of the Council, while Dr. Helena Jędrzejczak was elected as Deputy Chairperson. After congratulating the new members of the Presidium, voting took place in connection with the election of electors for the XXXII Reporting Forum of Research Institutes of the Main Council of Research Institutes. IBE’s Scientific Council decided by vote that the elector would be IBE Director Maciej Jakubowski, PhD.
This was followed by a vote on the approval of the minutes of the 11th meeting of IBE’s Scientific Council and a summary and closing of the meeting by its Chairperson, Prof. Maciej Karwowski.
