Robert T. Ptaszek

Robrt T PtaszekProfessor of the Humanities, on the staff of the Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He also completed Postgraduate Studies in Administration at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, he lectured at the philosophy departments of the University of Malta (2016) and Universidad de Valladolid (2018).

After graduation, he worked, among others, with the Centre for Public Opinion Research, the Department of Scientific Research of the Polish Sociological Association and the Centre for the Implementation of Sociological Research at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the Polish Philosophical Society, the Polish Association for Technology Assessment and several other scientific groups. He has also been a member of the Bioethics Committee at the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin since 2016.

Author and co-editor of 10 books and over 150 scientific articles, chapters and encyclopaedic entries. Organiser and participant of numerous international and national scientific conferences, where he delivered about 80 papers. The main fields of his research include the philosophy of religion, the philosophy of culture and philosophical anthropology.

Privately, a husband, father and grandfather. He enjoys travelling, a good book and, above all,  spending time with his grandchildren.
